Giveaway - Progresso Panko and Broth- Ingredients for Dinner Success!

I'm a foodie. I'm sure that's not a big shock to any of you who know me personally.
Ironically, one of my favorite things to cook with is panko. Panko is like light, fluffy breadcrumbs. I use it to make crab cakes, shrimp cakes, baked pork chops, and our family favorite, Tilapia. So how excited was I, when Progresso and our fine friends at myblogspark.com sent me some of their Panko and chicken broth to try out. Stoked, I tell you, stoked!

So for my meal, I decided to make panko covered tilapia with avocado salsa and sundried tomato risotto on the side. This way, I could incorporate both of the products in my cooking. Here is a picture, above, of the start of my Risotto. I will admit, Risotto is quite a pain in the keister. You have to keep mixing it and adding the chicken broth, but trust me, it's worth it. I find the Progresso Broth is higher quality that the Swanson broth I usually use. It is more aromatic and has a better taste, so I will be using Progresso from now on.
While my hands were busily scraping my risotto from the bottom of the pot, my free hand (what free hand?) was dipping my tilapia in egg batter and generously applying the Progresso Panko Flakes. I added a little powdered chili pepper, garlic powder, salt and black pepper to the panko. Then I baked the Tilapia on a sheet pan for 20 minutes at 350, and covered it with the avocado salsa, which is Top Chop fresh Salsa with an Avocado cut up ( very easy!) Here is the outcome of my "experiment".


Verdict from my family: A+!

OMG YUM-0 Panko I would use them to bread my homemade chicken nuggets with the "secert" ingredient inside plus with hundreds of other recipes. I would use the broth in the greek chicken dish with feta, lemons, olives and tomatoes... Its all so yummy where to start...

I would use the panko crumbs to make a crispy baked chicken and pair it with noodles cooked in the chicken broth. Thanks for a great giveaway!

Love Panko! I'd use it for almost everything. For example, Thai Lemon Chicken is one of my fave, easy and super good!

I recently discovered Panko, and oh what a difference it makes! Love it!! I can get my boyfriend to eat things that he wouldn't try before when covered in panko!

Panko is one of my most favorite ways to cook fish. You already mentioned tilapia. I think I would love to panko bread some shrimp for dinner with my hubby. He is a shrimp lover. :) This would be awesome. I had no idea Progresso made this! PLEASE include me!

I'd use the Panko to oven fry some chicken with very little oil used...it will be light,healthy & YUMMY !!!!!!!!!! birdson@roadrunner.com

I would make a stir fry dish. I've never had the flakes but we love couscous rice and all types of grains. The no MSG got my attention. I think that addictive is causing headaches. Thanks for the wonderful giveaway.
